CONE 11.3 Update:

Issues addressed inclusive of Issues addressed in 11.2 update

1. SCHEDULE ERRORS

There is a known Bricscad bug in all versions of Bricscad that can in certain circumstances cause the failure of Sign Schedules, Bubble Tables and Traffic Phase Tables.

The most common occurrence seems to be when there is more that one drawing open , but has been known to fail under other circumstances

The most common occurrence seems to be when there is more that one drawing open , but has been known to fail under other circumstances

The error message is usually:

** Error: Automation Error E:Fail; ;[IAcadTable] function [SETBLOCKTABLERECORDID] unspecified error

Bricsys are now aware of this bug and have fixed it for FUTURE versions of Bricscad only

Our workaround in CONEUK11.3 is to have a option to create the affected schedules and tables using primitive objects (Rectangles, Text and Blocks)

The option is set in CONE Preferences (top right) : Create Tables with Primitives Objects where applicable

If you are experiencing frequent problems with Schedules then Set this option to ON (ticked)

2. LINEWEIGHT ISSUES

Some of our users are reporting thick outlines and blocky text when printing the new V11 signs

This is due to the default lineweight setting in CAD (usually 0.55mm)

A quick fix is to set the Cone Signs always have Zero lineweight checkbox setting in CONE Preferences to ON (ticked)

if this is on then the lineweight setting for CONE layers CONEFILLED and CONESIMPLE will be set to 0.0 (zero)

If you want advice or help with lineweight issues please get in touch

3. Signs: ROAD CLOSED, ROAD AHEAD CLOSED, SLOW WET TAR, RAMP AHEAD, TEMPORARY ROAD SURFACE, TRAFFIC CONTROL AHEAD, WORK IN CENTRE OF ROAD, ADVERSE CAMBER and FOOTPATH CLOSED

These CONEUKV11 signs ARE correctly designed as per TSGRD 2016 and the standard working drawings, however industry common practice to place these signs onto a 1050×750 plate

So we have now included an additional set of these signs under Schedule 13.9

In the Signs\70X folder, FREQUENT\RECTANGLES  and FREQUENT\DIVERSIONS you will now find both types if applicable

TSGRD Sign: T7010A    and   Schedule 13 Sign:  T7010A-FP-13-9
TSGRD Sign: T7010B    and   Schedule 13 Sign:  T7010B-FP-13-9

etc

The Frequent Signs: Toolbar and Ribbon menus will now insert the Schedule 13 versions instead of the TSGRD versions

4. WORKING ZONE WIZARD

An additional option (checkbox) has been included that affects the coning lines created

If the checkbox: Match Hatch Colour? is ON (ticked) AND you have set the Coning Type to be Symbols AND you have set the SAFETY ZONE HATCH to be On
then the coning lines created will match the SAFETY ZONE HATCH colour

5. DUAL CARRIAGEWAY SIGN ARRAYS

The 70mph 4 Lane Relaxed Approaches where inserting the wrong sign at the 1 mile point, this is now fixed

6. CUSTOM FIXED PLATE SIZE: DEDICATED LANES

An occasional bug in certain circumstances that caused the dialog to fail has been fixed

7. ROAD MARKING :  ELONGATED TEXT

The Elongated text blocks were defined with millimetre insert units , which caused these text blocks to be inserted at 1/1000 their intended scale
this how now been fixed

8. SIGN DESIGN > ADDITIONAL SIGN SYMBOLS FOR DIRECTIONAL SIGNS > WIDTH AND WEIGHT ROUNDELS

An additional set of 6 roundels covering widths from 2.5m/8’3″  to 3.0m/10′.0″ has been added to the library
